Our Programmes
& Activities
We run programmes for every member of the Afghan community in Northern Ireland — from children to adults, families to young people.
CHILDREN'S PROGRAMME (Under 15)
Our children's programme gives younger members of the Afghan community a space that is entirely their own — safe, welcoming, and full of opportunities to learn, grow, and stay connected to who they are.

YOUNG PEOPLE'S PROGRAMME (16+)
Our young people's programme is built around adventure, confidence, and friendship — giving young Afghans the chance to explore Northern Ireland, build relationships, and connect with peers their own age. Sessions run every two weeks at Belfast Activity Centre, with additional residential trips throughout the year.

WOMEN'S PROGRAMME
A warm and welcoming programme bringing women together through creative and social activities — including handcraft, jewellery making, baking, swimming with a qualified instructor, and regular community gatherings.

Handcraft &
Jewellery Making
Creative sessions where women learn traditional & contemporary craft skills, make beautiful pieces, and share techniques from their own backgrounds.

Baking
Sessions
Baking sessions that celebrate Afghan recipes and introduce new ones — bringing people together to share uniquely food, culture, and conversation.

Swimming
Sessions
Structured swimming sessions with a qualified female instructor, providing a safe and comfortable environment for women to learn and stay active.

Community
Gatherings
Regular informal meetups where women can come together, chat, share news, and simply spend time with others who understand their experience.

FAMILY & MEN'S PROGRAMME
Our family and men's programmes bring the whole community together — through education, shared experiences, and activities that strengthen connections and support wellbeing.
